Alumni Spotlight: Rick Bullard ('84)
President of Florida Accredited Driver Improvement

I began attending Trinity Christian Academy in 1980 in the eighth grade and graduated in 1984.   In 1985, I married my high school sweetheart and the love of my life, Darlene Cagle, who also was in the TCA Class of 1984.  We have been married for 29 years and have three children. 

I decided to go into the field of banking after graduation.  I earned degrees from Florida State College at Jacksonville, as well as The American Institute of Banking.  After spending a number of years in the banking industry, I had the opportunity to enter the hospitality industry.  I completed a degree in Hotel Management and worked as the general manager of a national hotel chain and then accepted a job as a regional Q&A inspector for the Cendant Corporation.  Although I enjoyed the time I spent in the hospitality industry, I felt as though I needed to be with my family instead of traveling.

I currently am the President of Florida Accredited Driver Improvement, where I have been for the last 12 years.  I serve on the Board of Directors of Trinity Christian Academy as well as on the Board of Directors of AG Ventures for the Greater Jacksonville Agricultural Fair.

My wife, Darlene, has been employed with the law firm of McGuire Woods for the last 29 years.  She has had the opportunity of working in all aspects of the accounting and records department at the law firm, as well as the preparation of IRS forms and filings. 

I and my family attend Trinity Baptist Church, where we enjoy the opportunity to serve in several areas.  We are active in our church, where I serve as a deacon and enjoy singing in the Celebration Choir.  My wife is in the Celebration Orchestra and in the ladies ministries and we both enjoy serving in our preschool ministry.  Our three children have all enjoyed being active in the youth group.

Our son, Ricky Bullard, graduated from TCA in 2006, along with his wife Jessica Smith Bullard.  He is a Lieutenant with the Camden County Fire Department.  They have one beautiful daughter, Ellie Grace, who is almost a year old. 

Our oldest daughter, Victoria Bullard Jowers, graduated from TCA in 2010.  She is an elementary teacher at Grace Christian Academy.  She met her husband, Jonathan Jowers, while working at Trinity Youth Camp.  They have one handsome son, Jonathan Hunter, who is nine months old. 

Our youngest child, Lillie Bullard, is a freshman at TCA and enjoys chorus and drama.
